The bathing lake is only 5 minutes walk from us. Nestled between idyllic forests, it invites you to swim, sunbathe, enjoy or even fish. The access is free of charge for our guests.
Another lake only 20 minutes away from Waldegg, situated in the middle of a biotope with a breathtaking viewpoint on the Dolomites. Twice a year you can experience a fantastic natural spectacle from there where the sun splits between the Santner and Euringer next to the Schlern. 365 degree view of South Tyrol's mountains. One daily ascent and descent with the Rittner Horn cable car free of charge for our guests from December 17, 2022 to March 19, 2023 and from May 18, 2023 to November 5, 2023.
The earth pyramids are a geological particularity. The development of these organ pipes growing out of the ground goes back to the Ice Age, when the glaciers deposited the moraine material here, of which the earth pyramids are made. The earth pyramids can be found very close to us in the Katzenbachtal (between us and Soprabolzano), in the Finsterbachtal between Longomoso and Monte di Mezzo and near Auna di Sotto.
5 minutes walk from Waldegg is the Plattnerhof, South Tyrol's first beekeeping museum. The picturesque farm, which is over 500 years old, has been restored in an exemplary manner. The living unit, including the kitchen blackened by soot and furniture, show the former way of life of the farmers. The cellar vault and the stable house the beekeeping museum. The entrance is free for our guests.
Bolzano has long ago developed into a shopping and cultural city. Its old town with the famous Bozner Lauben, still consists for the most part of beautifully renovated old houses. Bolzano is only 12 minutes away with our panoramic cable car! Every 4 minutes it brings our guests free of charge to the center of Bolzano.
